Intelijans ("we", "our", or "us") operates the mobile application Prayer: Namaz, Quran & Adhan ("Application"). This document discloses our rigorous privacy protocols, data collection practices, security architecture, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, Google Play Developer Policies).
Spiritual Integrity & Absolute Privacy Guarantee: The Application does not track your prayer history across external commercial trackers, does not sell user data, and never uses religious activity or worship metadata for commercial profiling or advertising.
1. Location Data & Astronomical Calculations
The Application requests device location permissions (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION and ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION) solely to calculate accurate astronomical prayer times (Fajr, Sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha) and determine the exact Qibla direction towards the Holy Kaaba in Mecca.
- 100% On-Device Calculation: All solar and geometric angle formulas (using Diyanet, Muslim World League, ISNA, and Egyptian General Authority conventions) execute locally on your smartphone processor.
- Zero Server Logging: Your precise GPS coordinates, city, or altitude are never sent to Intelijans servers, never logged, and never shared with any third party.
2. User Accounts & Spiritual Data Synchronization
The Application offers three authentication tiers powered by Google Firebase Authentication:
- Guest Mode: You can use all core features (prayer times, full Quran reading, guided prayer animations, tasbih) without creating an account. All streaks and bookmarks remain strictly on your local device Room database.
- Google Sign-In / Email Registration: If you voluntarily register, your unique user ID, display name, and email are stored securely in Google Cloud Firestore. This enables cross-device synchronization of:
- Takva gamification points and daily prayer streaks.
- 604-page Mushaf khatm progress and reading bookmarks.
- Adak (Nezir) spiritual dedication counters.
3. Foreground Services & Audio Playback (Adhan Alarms)
To ensure Muslims never miss prayer even when the device is locked or in Doze mode:
- The Application uses an Android
Exact Alarm and FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK to trigger Adhan recitation at the exact calculated time.
- A persistent, dismissible notification is displayed strictly during audio playback with an instant "Stop Adhan" control. No background surveillance or microphone access occurs.
4. In-App Purchases, RevenueCat & Social Impact Patron Tier
The Application features optional digital subscriptions ("Prayer Pro Patron"):
- Google Play In-App Billing: All financial transactions and credit card processing are handled directly by Google Play. Intelijans never receives or stores your credit card, bank account, or billing credentials.
- RevenueCat: We utilize RevenueCat SDK exclusively for receipt validation and entitlement management. Anonymous app user tokens are processed to unlock premium features.
- Corporate Giving Disclosure: In strict compliance with Google Play Corporate Giving and In-App Billing policies, subscriptions are commercial purchases of premium digital features. Intelijans independently allocates a percentage of its corporate studio profits toward clean water well construction initiatives in Africa through established humanitarian partners. Purchases do not constitute direct charitable tax-deductible donations.
5. Offline-First Architecture & WorkManager Background Storage
To preserve user mobile data quotas, initial worship assets for 1 full day are pre-bundled within the APK. Subsequent Quran recitations and masnun supplications download gradually in lightweight chunks (5-10 MB) via Android WorkManager exclusively when connected to unmetered Wi-Fi.

7. Data Retention, GDPR Compliance & Account Deletion
In accordance with GDPR Article 17 and Google Play Account Deletion mandates:
- Users may initiate complete, irrevocable deletion of their account, streaks, and all associated cloud data directly within the Application settings or by emailing info@intelijans.com with subject "Account Deletion Request".
- Upon receipt, all personal identifiers and cloud records are permanently purged within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
The Application is family-friendly and rated PEGI 3 / Everyone. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a minor has submitted account credentials, contact us immediately for immediate data removal.
